A budget traveler is someone who travels usually finding cheap flight tickets, package deals, low-cost accommodations, vacation rentals, wallet-friendly food from local markets and free or cheap tourist attractions to visit while there. Yeah...lots of free tourist attractions like a no entrance free national museums, public parks and awesome boulevards.

Below are few tips on how to plan a travel budget .

1.Research for locations with affordable accommodation.

Not with stars hotel though, research location where you can find affordable priced hotel / apartments close to the city's major tourist attractions. You can save time and cash-out for transportation if you are planning to do some sightseeing. You may contact your travel agent and ask if they have reasonable priced hotel in your planned destination. Travel agent can help you more in finding low budget hotel, remember, travel consultant are travel expert and have much knowledge than anyone else who are just relying on internet search.



2. Book early as possible:

Book or place your reservation as early as possible, A minimum of 6 months before intended travel date is adviseable. Early bookings is always cheaper, be it a cruise, air tickets or accommodations. At that early point, supply is high and demand is relatively flat, so you'll find appealing prices. Once you get down to the final few weeks. prices are higher or running out of slots which will end you to a more expensive types.



3. Check for vacation rentals:

When planning to travel with friends or family, look for a rental homes-apartments-bungalows. Hotels rooms will be more expensive if you are with more travellers since most rooms are for single or double used only. Single ones will ended up with surcharge. Secondly, renting home or apartment could save you more for food expenses. Unlike hotel rooms, you are allowed to bring your own food (purchased from local market or stores and cook or barbecue. Quite nice, isn't it? more fun and exciting.



4. Watch your luggage and your packing:

Know that a light suitcase is not just easier to travel with but can also save you money on baggage fees. Pack early so you're not in panic mode, and put some thought into packing matching tops and bottoms (rolled, not folded), as few shoes and accessories. Bring only what is necessary. Less is more.



5. Travel Insurance is a friendly and wiser travel buddy:

Don't ever think that travel insurance is expensive. Of course not! If you are not sure of yourself, have a look at your insurance policy if you are covered with travel insurance as well? Be a luxury or budget tour, you are more than secured if you are travelling with travel insurance. Moreover, if you've lost or damaged something during your holiday, you have at least something to ease your worries. Your insurance is there for you. Thus, travel safe & secured.
